Music

I can easily trace my inner peace based on whether or not I am listening to music. When I am rooted, grounded and in a place of mindful awareness the music is on 24/7. There are times when I can only handle the deep silence. That’s okay too. I see those times as deep battery recharging on a spiritual level. When I am able to listen to music, it feels more like clean water running through my energy, clearing away stubborn emotional cobwebs and washing away any overwhelm. I would rather feel tender and tearful than stuck and numb.

I am a sucker for melodic singer songwriter vibes. Melancholy music is like my steam valve that lets out whatever is creating too much emotional pressure. I loved learning that humming is a quick way to reset the vagal nervous system and bring our bodies into alignment. Here’s a link to a few of my favorite tunes:
