What’s Helping Me Through This Week

What is helping me get through this week… My meditation cushion.

Well, not the cushion so much as the intentional practice of meditation. I can be squirmy about following through with this basic self-care necessity. Sometimes sitting still is incredibly challenging in light of the racing thoughts and anxiety du jour.

I am redoubling my efforts and widening what counts as mediation credit. My nervous system loves it when I indulge in quiet sky watching time. I have been known to let my mind wander while I take in the sky and let my eyes follow the flits of birds and trace the antics of the backyard squirrels.
